And now - please meet a new product - Spresent Win. Current version: WinTonic. As with the Web version, it's also in beta. And it will be updated every time Web version is updated
Spresent Win is a subscription-based Windows application, $29.99 per year, including all updates for 12 months. The application looks and works the same way as Web version. Here are the key advantages of desktop version (at this time - Windows only).
- Presentation on hard drive. Presentation files are stored locally. Open, Edit and Save the files at any time.
- Off-line. Like any desktop application, Spresent Win works off-line. So presentations can be created and presented without Internet connection.
- PPT import. Limited import of PowerPoint files is included.
- Flash Export (SWF). Export final presentations as single Flash file (SWF) - for CDs, USB drives, etc. The presentations in SWF format can be played off-line on any browser and even mobile devices
- License up to 3 computers. One license covers up to 3 computers for the same person (home, office, notebook, etc)

A: The main reason - notebook computers. Simple fact - Notebooks outsell Desktops. And Notebooks are not always connected to the Web, so having Spresent installed on computer allows to work on presentations at any time and not depend on the Web for important meetings. - Q: Why a subscription?
