Spresent is a privately held company founded in 2006 as a spin-off from parent company. The parent company provided its R&D, code base, intellectual property including one patent, and seed funding to form the company and launch operations. Alexander Kouznetsov, Ph.D. (a.k.a. Sasha), the architect and development manager responsible for the application, joined Spresent as president and CTO.
The Product
Spresent offers a market-leading web-based presentation application delivered in a
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. The application is written using Flash and
generates engaging, highly graphical online presentations that are easy to e-mail, share,
or embed into web sites, blogs, and other online properties.

Spresent is participating in the emerging market of Web2.0 applications.
Spresent is targeting four customer segments: consumers, bloggers/podcasters, small
business, and education.
The market for online office-like applications is extremely popular at this time. Currently,
there are very few working, mature presentation candidates in the space, and Spresent has
a significant lead over the competition due to previous R&D investment by the parent company.
